Chemical Peels are great for many skin condition! It helps clear acne, discoloration and scarring. It also is great for anti-aging; the more dead skin you slough off, the less the appearance of fine lines. A chemical peel is a procedure in which an acid solution is used to remove dead and damaged upper skin layers to smooth and refine the skin’s texture.
There are many different peels out there, all using different acids, and all vary in strength. It is important to book an appointment and discuss what YOUR wants are. Some chemical peels will result in more deep peeling (more downtime), so you will want to schedule these in advance of important events.
Corrective Skincare has three types of Chemical Peels. The first is our ‘Light Chemical Peel’ which has minimal peeling (little to no downtime) and is used to dry out active acne, dislodge blackheads, reduce shallow scarring & wrinkles and lighten hyper-pigmented discoloration spots, reducing the effects of sun damage and improving skin texture. There is a ‘Medium Chemical Peel’, which has more peeling (more downtime) and goes a step deeper and is a little more aggressive. The third peel is known as the ‘Custom Pro Peel’. This is great at eliminating deeper lines and wrinkles, removing age spots and deeper scars. It will result in the most peeling (about 4-6 days of downtime).
